Peacefully Sleeping

My kiddos are terrible sleepers. And really I think it may be my fault. But at the same time I refuse to take responsibility for it,.. other than saying they have poor sleeping habits simply because I love my kiddos too much to not let them snuggle. I know my babies will grow all too soon and frankly I love seeing those curly headed angels sleeping so peacefully next to me. So as I write this at 11:00 at night with two out of my three angels snoring softly I have to say I am so thankful to be able to pull each of them close. Each one is so unique, so different, and so beautifull. Our oldest is quiet, sweet, and sensitive. Our middle one is sassy, hot tempered, and a mama’s boy too boot. And our youngest is shy, and interestingly mellow. But then just when you think she couldn’t be any quieter she makes a total ham of herself. My hubby calls her” Super Sass!” I love these little gifts from God. And cannot wait to see what direction the Lord will take them twoards. But tonight as I know my poor hubby will once again give up and head twoards the couch I will have to giggle and pull them even closer because I don’t want to ever think that these babies will grow too big to snuggle with mama.

put a log on the fire….but don’t blow yourself up

I love our new home. We are so blessed. It’s beautiful, and everything about it seems like the Lord picked it out just for us. One of my favorite things is our gas fireplace. It all started a few weeks ago when it became really hard to get it started. So we had it serviced and wah-lah,…then it really was hard to start. Hummm,…… well the guy came back for the second time and showed me that it has to stay on at all times. Huh,..ummmm,…ok….. well so begins the drama….heheheeh. A few nights ago I decided I would love to sit in front of my beautiful fireplace all warm and snug when I began to turn the dial up on the already turned on fireplace. And there was nothing,.. humm, maybe if I turn it back down, and then up,… then maybe. Still nothing. Well then I thought,” what if I push the pilot light,..” Still nothing. Then out of nowhere as I looked down,.. BOOM! A huge fireball shot out of our fireplace before I could realize what was happening. Needless to say I have no idea how I still have my eyebrows but I am glad to appreciate it enough to say,”Yes, that was a Christmas miracle that I didn’t loose all my hair in the process of almost blowing myself up.” So I did walk away a little scarred. My arm hair was nicely singed and I smelt of burning hair. Not the nicest thing to smell like as I was getting ready to spend Christmas with my side of the family! But hey at least I didn’t blow myself up. Well see what the fireplace guy has to say about that tomorrow but until then I’m steering clear of my spot by the fire. But it;s just another day in the life of my daily mama drama. Merry Christmas. -Megan

A new home? And oh the drama!

So it’s been a while i’ll admit since we last chatted. But who’s to say. So as of Sunday we have sold our house,(Thank you Lord, you’re amazing) and now the fun drama begins. Who in the worldwould have thought that selling our own home could possibly intale so much blah crappy crap crap. I think my favorite thing about this whole process is the one sheet of paper I will be able to sign at the very end of closing for the paper reduction act. And no I’m not kidding you, you do have to sign a paper to say lets not sign so many papers. Yeah but that’s just the little tidbits of glee and giggles I’ll hold on to so when I look back I can say nahh, it’s not that bad. But then again those little tidbits of memories are probably the reason I thought, ” Hey this won’t be so bad.” Which I shouldn’t complain, but goodness can a girl get a margarita and a cute Tiki hut guy over here already. (Image of my hubby pops in to head) (hummm need to focus) which brings me to the story of the day,….

The Inspector and Me

So today as I met my inspector to talk about our possible new home. Along in tow came two of my kiddos plus a sweet little boy I watch. Soon came my mother, and my sister and our realtor and my sister’s kiddo. And let me tell you trying to have a serious conversation with someone about your new home while chasing a one year old , a three year old and a four year old really doesn’t work so well. But I thought why not,.. I’m superwoman! Our poor home inspector didn’t miss a beat and just continued talking, which every busy mom would profusely appreciate. However my sister later told me every-time I turned around the poor man didn’t seem to know what to do with himself as I would take off in another direction. But all in all it’s all good. Soon I’ll be dancing naked in my new living room jamming out to bad 80’s. But hey those are the memories that make you say, “Hey movings not so bad!”

So you may be wondering who started this wonderful website? Me! I’m a mother of three beautiful babies! My children are ages 5, 3, and 1. I started this website for moms. There are days were my household seems upside down and then others where I seem to at least for a few hours have everything together. And I figure I’m not the only one who wonders, questions, and re-questions what is best for my child, or am I doing this right? So come along and get ready because it’s a beautiful ride.
